About San Miguel
Located in the northern reaches of san Louis Obispo is the town of San Miguel California. This area is a Mecca for those desiring to experience the wonder and the rich history of this location. The area is referred to as Mission san Miguel and for good reason. The land was settled by the adored patron saint, Fermin Francisco de Lasuen in 1797. The feel of the town is all Spanish and this makes for a dynamic and international feel to the town of San Miguel California.
Being that the town of San Miguel California is located so far north in the county, it is easy to access so many of the areas finest attractions. It matters not where the destination winds up, the little village of San Miguel will be a welcome respite either coming from or heading to that location in California. One of the most popular tourist’s vacation destinations while in San Miguel is the 16th Mission on the El Camino Real Trail. This area offers both the trekker an opportunity to scamper up and down the famous trail and the adults can discover the Spanish history and heritage of San Miguel California.
While visiting San Miguel California make certain that the Electric Light parade which occurs annually December 19th, for a spectacular and fun-filled night of lights and fun! The parade has Christmas all wrapped up with Santa Claus scheduled to fly in before he starts his world-wide journey of delivering the joy of Christmas! Even if the parents have not been so good there are still gifts of nature for the ones not on the good list! The town has so much to see and do it is really like Christmas every day there. The hotels and motels and camping grounds are extremely easy to rent and there are enough to satisfy the thronging crowds that come to San Miguel California.
